Electro Flash & Starflash Swatches

Hey everyone! So, I was able to take some pictures of the swatches in some decent light for you. Note: All of these were applied WITHOUT a base, but I did pack it on nicely for you guys to see the color.

These are the swatches for the Play On Plums mineralized shadow duo from the Electro Flash collection. Both colors are absolutely gorgeous. Although it is hard to tell because of the reflecting lights, but these shadows shimmer beautifully! I wish I was able to get Odd Couple just to show you that purple.. it shimmered even more, I think. Anyways, both of the colors are a bit more on the warm/ neutral side, but they can still be played up for more dramatic looks on your nights out :)Like I mention in the video, you are most definitely going to want to use a base on these two, simply because they are mineralized and slightly frail and flaky. Another good trick you can use is to apply them using the damp brush. The water, or mixing medium of your choice, will darken the color and make it become even more vibrant and eye catching. In the video, I also paired these shadows with the Raven eye khol which matched great!

Now for the Starflash collection. From left to right o this image, the colors are: Dreammaker, Mink & Sable, Bold & Brazen, and Go. I tried to get these in the best light possible for all of you. Dreammaker, like I said, makes an excellent highlight color for both your brow bone and inner corners of your eyes. It would also brighten up your eye if you use it as the main color in your look. Pairing it with Mink & Sable and maybe some Go would give you a nice earthly look (which I will probably do.. yay!!)



On the left, I have the other three shadows that I bought from the Starflash collection. From left to right they are: Smoke & Diamonds, Glamour Check!, and Top Hat. I really like Smoke & Diamonds because it is a darker silver and will be perfect for smokey looks. Glamour Check! is also a fun color, I think the color it reminded me of was Cranberry? Maybe it was just because it had that pretty red shimmer to it.. almost burgundy. Either way, it a pretty deep red/bronze-ish color. Like I mention in the video, Top Hat almost looks blue... at least in the picture. When I was swatching it saw the PURPLE! And it was great.. haha! Just like the Play On Plums, all of these shadows would pop sooo much more (and stay on so much longer.. all day!!!) if you apply some sort or base on first. No matter what your preference is, these shadows should hold on fast. And just like the Electro Flash duo, if you apply these with a damp brush, the colors will come out a whole lot more.

These are the three liners that I got. I really wish that the pictures of the swatches captured the effect of these liner but it didn't. Of course you can see the color of the shimmer, but its hard to capture that shimmer in a photo.. at least when you really want to :/ Anyways, all of these are great for smudging! And according to the MA I spoke too, they can work great as a base too. Hmm.. like I said, that is definitely something I need t try out. I don't know if I can break my ways from my paint pots and primer potion.. lol!
