Hey everyone!

So I know it's been forever since I made a video, and even longer since I blogged :( School has been killing me and I am up to my ears in homework and other projects. I feel awful for not being able to stay current with the makeup. I really do you understand. But I promise that I haven't forgotten about you. Trust me, I have more makeup looks stirring up in my head and I can't wait until I find the opportunity to share them all with you.

Also.. I am excited to say (even though it happened weeks ago) that I have finally reached 500+ subscribers!! woo! haha I know it seems small but it makes me happy :) Thank you all for subscribing to me.

But here is a cool story I heard not that long ago in one of my classes (turns out one of the girls in there is a MAC MA :D) This is the story of how mascara was created.. or so she says:

There was this girl and her name was Maybell [hmm.. the beginning of Maybelline??]. She was a lonely girl, and couldn't find herself a husband. So one day while talking to her brother, he came up with a brillliant idea. He mixed together coal and vaseline and applied the creation onto her eyelashes making her beautiful. Shortly after, she found her self a nice man and got married.

Pretty neat story huh? I really wanted to share that with you :) Of course, I amnot condoning that wearing mascara will find you a husband. A man that truly cares for you will love you for who you are and will not care whether or not you wear makeup (even though we sometimes disagree!!!).

To be honest, I haven't made it down to the MAC store in awhile. I a trying to get an early start on saving for Christmas even though I am DYING to go to MAC. haha!! I am teaching myself retraint.. at least for a little while. But, there have been a few collections released lately that I think you should check out if you have the chance :)

Back To School Look

Hello,

So, I went ahead and made the video today. Sorry for sounding so "eh". I really did try. But, I am sure that you noticed I am still feeling a bit under the weather. I don't know what exactly is wrong with me, maybe I had a cold, maybe it's just stress, or a combination of the two. Either way, I am trying my best to recuperate and get back into the swing of things.

I know that the look is somewhat belated, but many of you asked for one and I promised that I would make it for you. I decided to keep it simple. I felt that if I were to go all out with it, then it would be less of a "back to school" look. So I kept it simple and basic, because.... who really has time to get crazy with makeup when you are running late for school? lol!

Speaking of school, I am sure that all of you who are attending high school are excited for prom (or other school dances/ events). It's Labor Day :)

Hey everyone!!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their day off from school, work, or both :) Or if you're like me, you are taking advantage of it and catching up and the mound of homework you have already been assigned.. lol!

So I know it has been a while since I have done a video. But the past 2 weeks have been kind of rough.

1. my skin decided to hate me and I couldn't do a video because I wasn't wearing makeup for a while do to an irritation i had near my eye :(
2. school started and my professors have shown zero mercy. immediately i had to jump back into the "swing of things"

So, even though school has started, I might still do a "back to school" look for those of you who requested it. My eye is finally back to normal and I am ready to go :)

Thank you for all the comments you have left on my videos while I was away.. i loved them!

Lemon-Lime Eyes

Hey!!

It has been a while since I did a look that was more on the.. creati
ve side. I actually put this look on a face chart but I never made a video of it. So, I thought now would be the prefect time :)

Like I said in the video, I changed the spot where I filmed and it worked!! But, it wasn't as easy as a I made it sound.. haha! One of the reasons why I hadn't moved to this side of my room earlier was because my window wasn't receiving much sunlight due to fig tree that decided to gross directly in front of it. So, since I love all of you so much.. I chopped it down... haha! To be honest, I have no idea how it got there, we never planted it. If I had to guess, seeds fell from the tree that my old neighbors had.. and they moved out years ago and the newcomers chopped down the tree.

This is the trashcan after I was done. lol.. I practically filled up the whole thing!! And they just picked up trash yesterday.. haha how convenient. But it was worth it because now I have beautiful rays of sunshine for my room :D

These are pictures I took after completing the look, they are the same as the ones in the video. I really did have a blast doing this look. I was in need of doing something on the funky side. Like I mentioned in the tut, this look is ideal for a party or possibly a night out on the town with the girls.

Music is one of my other passions, it's just something that never leaves your soul.

Happy Monday!

Hey everyone!

So I hope that everyone had a great weekend and a happy Monday. Surprisingly, I didn't have a "case of the Mondays" today. Which was great :) But, I must say that I am very tired.

My mind has been doing a whole lot of running around lately: from, putting together looks, mixing up colors, and just figuring out where I go from here! There are so many things I want to do and I just want to give a shout out to all of my subscribers. All of you mean so much to me, and I appreciate all of your comments, feedback, and requests. I have grown so much form having my YouTube channel and from keeping (or at least trying to.. lol) this blog. And when I say grown I mean both as an artist and as a person. So.. thank you so much!! **group hug**

There are so many things that I want to make videos of right now that I don't even know where to start. I have some requests that were asked of me that I have lined up, but I feel like I have everyone thing except for that "one piece" to make it feel complete. Please tell me if I sound lame.. haha! I know that I have been putting off making a video of my makeup collection, which isn't much of a "collection" at the moment. I just want to have more to show all of you.. more to talk about. You know? I also want to buy new colors and all kinds of goodies, but being a college student isn't cheap... ugh :( As much as I want to haul until my heart is content, I need to get all my other ducks in a row.. you know?

But that doesn't mean that I am going to disappear!! haha.. trust me, it would take so much more than that to stop me ;D But, I will not be buying as much and will start working with what I have for the time being. Why? Well.. as much as I want to have fun, be reckless, and suppress my makeup addiction, I need to cool it with the cash.. lol!

Hopefully things will turn around fast. School is already beginning to start and that means dances and... PROM!! So, I am ready to take on the world and build up my little book of clients. But I am not going to limit myself to just that. If you are a model, photographer, etc, I am looking people to team up with for TF/CD. I live in Orange County, but I am very close to LA County as well.

Starflash: Earthy Eyes

Hey everyone!

So this is the second and final look I am going to do using strictly the Starflash collection. MAC is already coming out with fabulous collections so I want to check those out and bring you the latest and greatest :D I had fun doing this look, but I have about HAD IT with my lightbulb!! I don't know what to do at this moment.. I mean, how can I really improve my lighting. Maybe its just my room and I should go somewhere with more natural light. Hmmm.. What do you all think? I took 3 pictures on my computer and looked super washed out... and then I took a couple of pictures in my backyard just to use the sun's light... but It was so bright I couldn't help but squint.. haha! I guess today just isn't my day huh? Here are the pictures beginning with the ones I put in my video.

Starflash: Smoky Purple Eyes

Hey everyone!!

So I decided to have some fun with the darker colors that I got form the Starflash first since my last look was a bit more on the natural side. I used the colors Smoke & Diamonds, Top Hat, and Dreammaker. Like I mentioned in the video, this look can be transformed for either day or night with the base that you choose to use. A lighter base will lighten up the colors a bit and keep them closer to the color they appear in the pans. If you use a darker base, like Blackground p/p, the colors will have a darker and deeper appearance which can add more drama to your desired smoky eye.
All the products I used in this look were MAC, unless stated otherwise. My face products (i.e. foundation) were applied before filming.

After filming the video, I messed around with my video camera to see how a recording were to turn out on that and test too see if the light was better using that camera. Sadly, the picture came out worse and I looked more yellow than ever! So, pleeaaaaasse let me know what you all think about the lighting I have been dealt. I really don't know what I am going to do.. I thought that I got the right type of light bulb, it is a clear vanity. Hmmm. Any suggestions?Send them my way! I was really appreciate that :D

Electro Flash & Starflash Swatches

Hey everyone! So, I was able to take some pictures of the swatches in some decent light for you. Note: All of these were applied WITHOUT a base, but I did pack it on nicely for you guys to see the color.

These are the swatches for the Play On Plums mineralized shadow duo from the Electro Flash collection. Both colors are absolutely gorgeous. Although it is hard to tell because of the reflecting lights, but these shadows shimmer beautifully! I wish I was able to get Odd Couple just to show you that purple.. it shimmered even more, I think. Anyways, both of the colors are a bit more on the warm/ neutral side, but they can still be played up for more dramatic looks on your nights out :)Like I mention in the video, you are most definitely going to want to use a base on these two, simply because they are mineralized and slightly frail and flaky. Another good trick you can use is to apply them using the damp brush. The water, or mixing medium of your choice, will darken the color and make it become even more vibrant and eye catching. In the video, I also paired these shadows with the Raven eye khol which matched great!

Now for the Starflash collection. From left to right o this image, the colors are: Dreammaker, Mink & Sable, Bold & Brazen, and Go. I tried to get these in the best light possible for all of you. Dreammaker, like I said, makes an excellent highlight color for both your brow bone and inner corners of your eyes. It would also brighten up your eye if you use it as the main color in your look. Pairing it with Mink & Sable and maybe some Go would give you a nice earthly look (which I will probably do.. yay!!)

On the left, I have the other three shadows that I bought from the Starflash collection. From left to right they are: Smoke & Diamonds, Glamour Check!, and Top Hat. I really like Smoke & Diamonds because it is a darker silver and will be perfect for smokey looks. Glamour Check! is also a fun color, I think the color it reminded me of was Cranberry? Maybe it was just because it had that pretty red shimmer to it.. almost burgundy. Either way, it a pretty deep red/bronze-ish color. Like I mention in the video, Top Hat almost looks blue... at least in the picture. When I was swatching it saw the PURPLE! And it was great.. haha! Just like the Play On Plums, all of these shadows would pop sooo much more (and stay on so much longer.. all day!!!) if you apply some sort or base on first. No matter what your preference is, these shadows should hold on fast. And just like the Electro Flash duo, if you apply these with a damp brush, the colors will come out a whole lot more.

These are the three liners that I got. I really wish that the pictures of the swatches captured the effect of these liner but it didn't. Of course you can see the color of the shimmer, but its hard to capture that shimmer in a photo.. at least when you really want to :/ Anyways, all of these are great for smudging! And according to the MA I spoke too, they can work great as a base too. Hmm.. like I said, that is definitely something I need t try out. I don't know if I can break my ways from my paint pots and primer potion.. lol!

Dermalogica Sample Review

Hey everyone,

So I have been using those generously sized samples from Dermalogica that I received at IMATS a couple of weeks ago. They gave me three different products. This included Age Smart Antioxidant Hydramist, Daily Micofoliant, and the Ultracalming Cleanser. Unfortunately, I have not made it down to the actual store to use my new card because they are located in Santa Monica :/ But, since one of my girl friends also got the card, we are going to plan a day trip out of it.. hopefully soon.

This is a light spray that you can apply to your face directly after cleaning the face, or you can even use it throughout the day over your makeup. It left my face feeling clean and prepped (I only used it before my makeup). It also had the scent of some sort of spice. Nutmeg I think, maybe cinnamon. The fact that it had such a distinct scent didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I actually liked it :) It was a little difficult for me to give this line of Dermalogica review because this was only one item from the Age Smart collection. However, it did leave my face feeling hydrated (especially with all of this dry heat in Cali).

I really enjoyed using this product! It comes in a powdered form, and after washing your face, you shake a little bit into wet hands and rub them together. This is going to cause the powder to foam up. You then apply this to your face, rubbing it in in circular motions. This will get rid of all the dead skin cells on your face and leave you feeling renewed. It was very gentle on my skin, no irritation or signs of redness at all, so this is gentle enough to use daily if you have sensitive skin. If you are worried about a smell, this product in unscented.

I am very happy to say that the Ultracalming cleanser was exactly what it says it was! It left my skin feeling relaxed and hydrated after a long day. I after using this product to wash my face, I felt the stress in my skin melt away. However, while it works as a wonderful face soap and makeup remover, if you have problems with acne, I would look into the Acne line that they have at Dermalogica (this is the line that i am probably going to buy when I finally make it down to the store).

Bronze Bombshell Look

First of all, I just want to apologize if I seem kinda eh in this video.. I had just gotten off of work, but I really wanted to do a tut for you guys lol! The great thing about this look is that it just gives your skin the appearance that it is glowing. It is fresh and light but highlights all the right assets :D If you noticed, this is the look I did on one of my friends (see pictures from previous post) except she wanted a different blush and gloss, but the eyes are the same.

I am sure you all noticed that I did not use an actual bronzer in the look. I never really got into that, I personally would rather just step outside for five minutes and get a little tan ;D

Speaking of tanning, I used to work at a tanning salon (even though I never used the beds). If you guys have any questions about tanning and the pro and cons etc etc, let me know! They made me take all kinds of training and jammed my head with more info than I thought existed about tanning beds.. haha!! So... I might as well put that to good use.

Cool Heat Look #2

So, I hope that you all enjoyed the tutorial for my second Cool Heat look :D I know it seems that every time I do a new look its "one of my favorites" but this look is just so much fun for me to do! It reminds me so much of summer (well except for the nasty heat part.. lol!).

I did both of my friends makeup, but the girl on the left is wearing this same look. My other friend who is on the right, is wearing a more natural look and I will probably be doing a tutorial on that one soon since it was requested of me awhile ago.

Cool Heat Look #1

Sorry for sounding so dead in the video.. I was tired from work.. but I wanted to do the video for you guys :D I should have the second tut up soon too.

The tip I mentioned about the eyeliner is a very important one. Changing from black to white can really make a difference on the appearance of the size of your eyes. Even going from black to brown can make a difference. I know that the black is more dramatic and can make any look "pop" but if you want a wider looking eye, a lighter liner is the way to go.

I also got my Insider Card from Dermalogica today!!! If I decide to drive down to Santa Monica and go to the actual store, I can save 40% on products and 20% on treatments. So, hopefully I will be able to purchase some products soon and I can use them on my clients during jobs.

Still waiting on the Prop card from MAC... hopefully it'll arrive in the next couple of weeks.

Pink Tutu Party Look

Hey everyone! So this is the finished product of the party look I was asked to create. If you want to see how I did it, you can go ahead and catch the video on my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/LooksByLauren

I had a lot of fun putting this look together. I used the MAC pigment in Fuchsia, and I used the eye shadows Bitter, Stars 'N Rockets, and Black Tied. The white eyeliner (Fascinating) and the glitter eye liner (Lime Dandy), make this look look much more dramatic. If you still want to use bright colors but not have the extra "pop" than just skip these two steps and just use the black eye liner (I used Smolder).

Another great touch to this would be to add a couple rhinestones ;D

Product Review: Cool Heat Collection from MAC

The Cool Heat collection from MAC is definitely one to check out. If you are looking for some new eye shadows, I recommend them all, but 2 of them can easily be duplicated. The color Gulf Stream reminded me a lot of Aquadisiac and the color Blue Flame looks exactly like Deep Truth to me. I also chose to pass on the color Warm Chill. It liked it, but it didn't catch my eye like the others did.

I chose to purchase the rest which included: Solar White, Warming Trend, Cool Heat, Climate Blue.

All of these colors blend beautifully into each other and I am so much happier with this collection that I have been with the last few that have come out. Not only do you get gorgeous blues, but you could even use the colors Solar White and Warming Trend as possible bridal colors.

This is the first time I have mentioned bridal colors. Since I am going to start doing more jobs, I am trying to build up my kit and I am looking into all aspects and opportunities. If you are trying to build up a kit, keep your eyes out for natural and bridal colors :D

I was tempted to buy all five of the slim shines, but I resisted ;D All of the colors were beautiful and perfect for summer! But I chose to stick with Gentle Shimmer. I really liked the light pink and the color is just so versatile. It can go great with a bright look or a natural bronze look.

Longer, Thicker Lashes

Hey everyone! So if you caught my last video, you heard about the first beauty myth/tip that I am going to tackle and that of course is for longer,thicker, lashes!!

There are so many "miracle cures" for thin and short lashes that many women have to deal with. AI have seen products selling for over $100!!! But, I am happy to say that I found out a trick a few years ago that might be the cure for both your lashes and your wallet ;)

All you need is some vitamin E oil.

The bottle I showed was a bit older, but it is something that you should be able to find at store such as Target, or any other drug store. Or, if you take vitamin E capsules orally, you can pop one of those open and you the oil inside of those :D

Now, this is something that you are going to want to do at night before you go to bed. The reason for this is because it is going to make your eyelashes a bit gooey and sticky, so it is easier to just go to bed and not have to deal with it. Just put a little bit on your clean fingertips and apply to your lashes. It is easiest to do this with your eyes closed so that you can get your top and bottom lashes at the same time.

I have been doing this for about 2 weeks. It seems to be working, but I am going to continue doing this for longer so that I can give you all accurate results.

Vitamin E is also wonderful for your skin. You can use the oil to help with dry patches, and this I know works from personally experience. So, regardless of whether you want longer lashes or softer skin, vitamin E is definitely something you should take a look at. It works, and is a whole lot cheaper than many of the products that are out there. Enjoy! Let me know of you try this out. We can all do the test together :D

Before I even begin, I want to say sorry that I haven't been keeping my blog up to date. I have decided that I am going to be using this a lot more and touch on subjects that I may not talk about or show in my videos on my YouTube channel.

I also want to thank all of my viewers. I really enjoy all of your comments and emails. Favorite Hair Products

So it was requested that I went over some of my favorite hair products. After making the video... I realized that I completely forgot one of the most essential products I use for my hair... duh!

This is the Paul Mitchell heat sealer. I spray this on my hair every time I use a curling iron, flat iron, crimper, etc. I love this product!! My hair stylist likes to use this when she styles my hair, and I had to have a bottle for myself. Not only does it seal in the heat to aid your hair in retaining your desired style, it leaves you hair soft, shiny, and looking healthy. Also, it protects your hair from the constant exposer of tools you use when styling your hair :D

Also!! I am trying to get tickets to the International Makeup Artist Trade show in Pasadena. I am so excited!! Not only will there be a bunch of talented people and speakers, but there will also be booths from multiple makeup artistry schools!! This is the main reason I want to go. If all goes to plan, I am going to try and enroll in a school as soon as possible so that I can officially do makeup professionally. If I go, I will make sure to take lots of pictures for you guys!!

Dress Camp??

Alright. So I am sure that you guys have noticed that the new Dress Camp line is out... but necessarily available. So why?

Here is the scoop:

This is an EXTREMELY LIMITED LINE! In my opinion it is ridiculous. As much as I would love to own something from this collection, I am beginning to think that it is not worth the effort. MAC is overflowing with complains because of this line. Only a select few stores got stock in and if they did.. it wasn't much. So then where do the faithful customers go? Well I would say online but the hassle is just as bad there. They were sold out instantly. You would think that a line that made so much hype would cause MAC to produce more..  but they didn't. So why not try Ebay? Well if you decide to go to an auction, you will be paying a whole lot more than it is actually worth. But that is completely up to you if you want to do that. Personally, I will pass.

I love the packaging.. don't get me wrong! But I am not thrilled with the actual products. If anything, I would just get the glosses.

If you are a pro card member, I have heard that they aren't allowing you to use your discount :( and I also heard that they are not taking any orders over the phone.. if you can even get through.

To all of you who were able to get the line.. congrats! and if you love it I recommend getting backup because you will probably never get another chance.. lol!

I wish I could be a little more optimistic about this line.. but it is causing way to much drama.. haha! I can only imagine all of the women at the MAC counter beating each other with their purses over it.. oh my! HAHAHA!!

My Job Interview and Look :]

It's been about a week i think since I was interviewed for Pete's Coffee. I was super excited and the interview went really well, but sometimes you just never know.. you know? Well I am glad to say that I got the call back and I filled out all of the paper work. Yay! I am now officially a part of the Peet's team. Maybe I will become a Peetnik ;D

Anyways, a lot of the videos that are being put out are with really wild and crazy colors, which is great! I love it.. keep it coming! So I thought that this would be a good look to share with you guys, even if it isn't very exciting. Because like I said in the video, people do judge and I would hate for any of you to lose a chance for a great job simply because of your makeup!

I know it is really simple. It is definitely one of those 5 minute looks that could be done any day and everyday. I hope that all of you found it helpful and for those of you who are job hunting.. good luck!!!! Remember to be yourself and I promise that you'll look gorgeous without all of the glitter.. hehe.

Requested: Yellow & Purple

I had a request to do a look using a bright yellow and purple. It took me a while to actually get to it but I finally got it done :D Putting it together was a lot of fun because I love experimenting. My only wish is that my collection was bigger so that I had more colors to work with.

I mentioned in the video how I went to Target to get a new light bulb but returned with a mini flower pot.. hehe! What happened was that I went to target and when I went to look at the light bulbs, I realized that I didn't know what size bulb that my lamp used. Whether it was the normal basic type of bulb, or one of the smaller ones was beyond me lol! When I got home I realized that It was the basic/ normal size. I had a feeling, but I didn't want to buy it and then not be able to use it. Sure I could have found some other use for it (like my closet light that burnt out this morning!) but I decided to wait. *shrug* Oh well! I guess I just have another excuse to go to Target and have another adventure.. hehe.. and buy more mini flower pots. They are so adorable!!

A black & white affair

So, for the Yahoo! group that I am a part of, one of our challenges was to put together a black and white look.

This is the one that I put together. I will admit that I kind of rushed through it, and I didn't really have a true white color to use.

I went ahead and primed my eyes using my Painterly paint pot. I then applied Vanilla on the middle of my lid. Then I used Black tied for both the inner and outer corners of my eyes. For the highlight I used Shroom and then I just coordinated my bottom lash line to match my lid with Vanilla and Black Tied. The eye liner I used was Smolder, but any black liner will do :D

Blending for this look was a little rough simply because the colors are such opposites! But I did my best with what I had :]

2nd Heatherette Look

Well here it is :] My second installment of the Heatherette craze is finally complete.. hehe.

Why so short you ask? Well there are a few reasons.. 1) I was tired 2) I didn't feel like editing a 10 minute video 3) because I am so ready to start working with different colors! But hey.. I promised you guys a second Heatherette look so here you go ;]

My lighting is still awful! I was so sad when I was reviewing my video. It washed all the color out and you couldn't even see how the look truly appears. So, I apologize for that. I though that we had some bulbs around the house and we didn't and it had been a while since I had posted a video that i didn't want to waste time going to the store (wow that sounds so lazy of me! Oh well, I am on Spring Break. It's excusable.. hehe) and I figured.. what's one more? Well I didn't think it would be that bad. Sorry everyone!

1st Heatherette Look

Ok, so I had a lot of fun putting this look together. I know I said I loved the collection in my haul video but using them and putting it all together was awesome! The colors applied wonderfully for me. In order to get a really vivid color you needed to add a little more, but in a way that's good. I don't have to worry about too much. It is much easier to add on than take off.

One thing I do want to say is that I am sorry about the light in my room. It is so yellow! I am going to try and find different type of light bulb or just buy one if I have to. I was watching the video when I finished and I realized that you can't even tell that I put blush on. I was sad because it is such a pretty color. Oh well.

Next week I will be on Spring Break! Yay.. and since I am lame and not going out of town, I am going to have lots of time to put things together and create some new looks you you guys. Heatherette Haul!

So I finally made it down to my MAC store and checked out the Heatherette line. I have heard multiple things about it so I decided that I would just go and see for myself. I must say that I like it better than the Fafi line simply because it didn't seem as random (i.e. Fafi quad #2) and the packaging was so much better! It doesn't seem like cheap plastic, and there are no stickers this time :] everything is embossed I guess you can say which is so much better. You do not have to worry about your cute cases wearing and tearing like you would with the Fafi.

I bought the first eye trio, two duel eye pencils (black funk/pop blue and Fab Orchid/Dash Lily), Fleshpot lipstick, and a sample of Reflects Gold pigment from my MA :D I am super happy about what I bought today especially because I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this line. The Trio is fabulous and I love the Mood Ring color. It goes wonderfully with the Pop Blue liner. Also, I forgot to mention in my video how smooth the lipstick applies. It goes on like silk and the consistency is perfect!

I cannot wait to start messing around with all my new goodies and out a look together for all of you :]

I also recycled some plastics and got Clarity (a bright blue) and Chrome Yellow (also bright) so I should have the requested look for the bright yellow and purple up soon so stay tuned for that!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope that everyone had a wonderful day and enjoyed stuffing your faces with delicious food and lots of chocolate (you know I did!!) My definite favorite are the Cadbury eggs. Oh man.. I can never get enough of those! I look forward to them every year lol! That and the peeps.. MMM!

I still haven't made it over to my MAC store for my Heatherette haul, but hopefully I will go after once everything (the holiday, tests, etc) is over.

Black and Gold Look

I uploaded my first look today and it was for one of my favorite looks.. black and gold :D

So, I almost was unable to give you guys this video. I had just finished filming and was beginning to edit the video. Before I could save anything, my editing program just closed! Well I guess that is what I get for not saving after every little detail, but luckily, the video was just sent to the trash and I was able to retrieve it for all of you :]

Rather than talking throughout the video and worrying about multiple takes of me trying to explain it right, I decided to just have the steps pop up and it seemed to come out quite nicely. I hope it was helpful and that they stayed up for long enough. I did notice, after I loaded the video of course, that there is a slight glitch when it talks about applying Mulch to your crease. I am so sorry about that! I have no idea what it is or where it's from. Hopefully it didn't hinder anything too bad.

I got a request to do a look with a bright yellow and purple so look for that soon. That will probably be one of my next ones depending on how long it takes me to put something together lol!

Foundation and Contouring

So, I was finally able to figure the whole video editing thing and put up a video on how to apply foundation and contouring.

It's just the basics but it always helps :]
I had a lot of fun putting it together for you guys.. messing with the music and whatnot is great lol! Anyways, I know it's not much now. Hopefully I'll get a better hang of it soon and I'll have awesome videos like some other people who are out there. I should have a look up for you guys soon. For whatever reason, Youtube.com is not allowing me to load my videos for you guys so I am going to talk about a few things that you may find helpful and hard to live without ;)

My Favorite Things:

MAC's Fix +
This spray is absolutely wonderful and it is something that I definitely recommend everyone to try out the next time you visit a MAC counter. I have always had problems with makeup retaining it's fresh look through out the day and I know many other women encounter the same issue. You can use this both before and after you apply your makeup. There are many other primers out there that you can use before applying your foundation, but this can serve as both if you chose to use it as so. It has a fresh scent and its extremely light. It will not leave your face feeling wet or heavy. After using this my makeup lasts all day, even after a good cry. Yes! I said it. If you let the tears flow for whatever reason, you will still look fabulous :D

MAC's Sculpt and Shape Powder
Contouring the face is a wonderful trick. Not only will you be able to bring out your cheek bones and frame you face, but it also makes it look as if you have lost a couple pounds.. not that any of us need to of course! Adding highlights to your face will brighten up your skin and give you that desired glow. Once I am able to get Youtube to load my videos, I will have a tutorial up for contouring and highlighting.

I have decided to start filming and posting makeup tutorials on youtube.com. Makeup is something that I have always messed around with and I figured sharing my collection of looks for would fun :] I hope that you all enjoy watching the videos as much as I enjoyed making them for you!
